My Husband’s Other Woman Came To My Door And Said She Needed My House For Their Baby

Margaret listened without interrupting.

Then she opened her bag.

“First, let’s make sure we know what the documents actually say.”
Inside were property records, account statements, and paperwork from Dad’s estate.

We examined everything carefully.

The house had been purchased using inherited funds.

There was no mortgage.

The deed listed me as the sole owner.

And the records showed Tyler had acknowledged the arrangement.

Margaret looked up.

“Debra, the documents clearly establish your ownership. We’ll still have an attorney review any marital-property issues, but Rachel has no reason to assume you can simply be ordered out.”

I felt my shoulders relax.

For hours, I’d been struggling to understand how someone could expect to take over my home without asking.

Now I had something solid in front of me.

Proof.

But Margaret wasn’t finished.

She opened another folder.

“There’s something else.”

I looked at her.

“What?”

“You remember calling me last spring because you thought Tyler was hiding something?”
I nodded.
