At 64, I Married a 31-Year-Old Man. Six Months Later, I Noticed That Every Evening He Secretly Added Something to My Drink and Insisted I Finish Every Last Drop.

“I already had my annual examination.”

“This clinic offers more advanced screening. Please, do it for me.”

Eventually, I agreed.

The facility was inside a modern building with mirrored windows. A physician named Dr. Adrian Cole greeted us.

I completed several examinations and signed numerous documents.

Some forms contained unfamiliar medical terminology.

When I began reading them carefully, Daniel touched my shoulder.

“Don’t worry, darling. I’ve already reviewed everything.”

Trusting him, I signed.

That decision would eventually change my life.

Afterward, Daniel began preparing a special bedtime drink.

Warm milk, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla.

“My mother used to make something similar,” I told him.

“I remembered,” he replied affectionately.

Every evening, he placed the cup beside my favorite reading chair.

“Here you are, sweetheart. It’ll help you relax.”

At first, the routine felt comforting.

Then something changed.

I began waking up unusually tired. My concentration suffered, and ordinary conversations became difficult to remember.

Sometimes I couldn’t recall where I’d placed my belongings.
